Key Responsibilities:

• Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality, ensure freshness, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager.
• Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional advertisements.
• Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs as required.
• Develop knowledge of products and be able to answer questions and make suggestions.
• Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and making them feel valued.
• Adhere to safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs needed.
• Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
