Grocery Clerk responsibilities include:

• Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
• Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate actions.
• Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventorying department merchandise.
• Reporting ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
• Gaining product knowledge to assist and make suggestions to customers.
• Creating a welcoming environment and responding to product-related questions.
• Reinforcing safety procedures, inspecting equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts, and acting with honesty and integrity.
