Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of store operations preferred.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific functions.
• Must meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or willing to train to achieve accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise the performance of all duties and provide ongoing performance management and training
• Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity goals
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with guiding principles and strategy
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Ensure fast, friendly customer service and a positive shopping experience
• Control store expenses through ordering, care of supplies, and equipment
• Ensure department appearance, safety and sanitation standards are maintained
• Oversee scheduling, inventory, and use of company tools and systems
• Maintain compliance with policies, regulations and safety requirements
• Record and report incidents and monitor shrink to prevent losses
• Assist with physical inventory and promotional materials as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
