Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate in Virginia to deliver fast, friendly and accurate customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will help maintain shelves, follow standard practice, and support store operations daily.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety and adherence to company guidelines, with responsibilities including inventory, pricing, signs, and using Food Lion systems to assist customers and manage products.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain shelves and shelf tag moldings during stock work.
• Ensure only saleable merchandise is displayed and correctly stocked.
• Follow ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying guidelines.
• Understand and use store systems like ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Report accidents per procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge.
