Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Customer Service focused associate to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service in the Center Store department. You will help maintain shelves, follow policies, and assist customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to Food Lion procedures, safety guidelines, and the ability to operate cash registers and related equipment. A high school diploma is preferred and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Clean shelves and shelf tag mouldings with damp cloth when stocking.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies and guidelines.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Maintain understanding and adherence to company guidelines and safety procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge.
