Job summary

Food Lion in Smithfield, NC is seeking a dedicated team member to provide quality customer service in the Center Store department. You will help maintain standards, maximize sales through friendly, efficient service, and minimize shrink by following the standard practice.

You will stock shelves, ensure merchandise is saleable, follow safety guidelines and company policies, and complete CBT and training packets.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Stock shelves and keep shelf tag moldings clean
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation and displaying of merchandise follows policies
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering
• Adhere to company guidelines and safety procedures
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines
• Report accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Wear uniform and name badge; maintain neat appearance
• Complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and training courses
• Perform other duties as assigned
