Job summary

Food Lion in Stedman, NC is seeking a store associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will help maintain standards, maximize sales through great service, and help minimize shrink with proper use of standard practices.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, ensuring saleable merchandise, and following Food Lion policies and safety guidelines. You will wear the uniform and complete CBT and training courses as required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings when stocking.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying follow policies.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report all accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
