Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Store Associate to deliver fast, friendly customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) department. You will help maintain shelves, ensure accurate stocking, and support store operations in line with company policy.

Responsibilities include keeping areas tidy, processing, receiving and displaying merchandise, and adhering to food safety and safety guidelines. Prioritize customer experience and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings with damp cloth as needed when stocking.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents per established procedures to the Manager on Duty.
