Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a store associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store department. You will maintain shelves, stock merchandise according to policy, and assist customers with friendly, accurate service in a fast-paced environment.

You will learn and use company tools (ACIS/CAO), follow safety guidelines, and participate in training. The role demands reliability, strong communication, and the ability to perform physical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and use company tools.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Able to perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Center Store Department.
• Maintain standards per the standard practice manual and maximize sales.
• Stock shelves, ensure saleable merchandise, and use store tools.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Report accidents and follow company policies and regulations.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO
• Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
• Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents
• Report all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Wear the Food Lion uniform, complete with name badge, when on duty, has a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code
• Successfully complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses
• Perform all other duties as assigned
