Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Checker in Oklahoma to greet customers, operate the register, and assist shoppers throughout the store. You’ll handle payments, scans, and bagging while ensuring a positive checkout experience and adherence to store policies.

This hourly role offers training, team support, and opportunities to learn retail operations as part of a busy, customer-focused Hy-Vee store team.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; training provided
• Ability to operate cash register and handle various payment methods
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts and lift light loads

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist at the register
• Operate cash register and process payments (cash, card, checks, coupons, food stamps, lottery)
• Bag merchandise, issue receipts, and handle refunds if needed
• Ensure compliance with store policies and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and stock shelves as needed
• Provide helpful customer service and answer questions during checkout
