Houchens Food Group is seeking an Assistant Manager in Bowling Green, KY. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the Store Manager and leads sales staff, inventory, and daily operations to achieve company standards.

You will oversee customer service, staff scheduling, safety compliance, and performance management, ensuring profitable store operation and excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
• Assign employees to specific duties.
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory, cash handling, or customer services.
• Maintain records of purchases, sales and requisitions.
• Enforce safety, health and security rules.
• Recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff.
• Plan budgets and control expenses.
• Ensure store operations comply with company policies and standards.
