Job summary

First Alternative Natural Foods Co-op in Oregon seeks a Grocery Assistant Manager to support the Department Manager in coordinating store-level grocery operations. You will oversee ordering, inventory, and staff supervision to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions with tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate ordering and inventory, keeping stock levels within target.
• Ensure timely product deliveries, price changes, and credits with suppliers.
• Provide leadership and supervision of Grocery staff including scheduling and performance.
• Participate in quarterly inventory and merchandising planning.
