Job summary

Amsted Rail Petersburg is hiring a Grinding Inspector. The role inspects machined and fabricated parts for conformance to prints and specifications, supporting grinding operators and the department. The position requires mechanical aptitude and ability to handle lifting 10–50 lbs, with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have mechanical aptitude and prior industrial experience.
• Lift 10–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of machined parts with gauges to spec.
• Inspect and document conformance to print/specifications.
• Assist in setup changes for grinding lines as needed.
• Record inspection data in company system.
• Support grinding operators and department as required.
