Job summary

Amsted Rail Petersburg seeks a Roller Operator to operate and maintain a grinding line, producing precision metal parts per Amsted Rail standards. The role involves measuring dimensions with gauges, detecting defects, and assisting with line changes while adhering to safety protocols.

You will adjust machine settings, document production data, and understand part dimensions. Competitive pay, benefits, and on-the-job training are provided across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
• Lift 10 to 50 lbs.
• Regularly stand and move throughout the department and shift.
• Mechanical aptitude and prior industrial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of processed work pieces with gauges to specifications.
• Check condition of work for defects and conformance.
• Assist setup with changing over lines and tooling as needed.
• Adjust machine parameters and controls when needed.
• Record production run data in the company system.
• Understand sequences and dimensions of finished parts.
