Job summary

Amsted Rail Petersburg is seeking a CNC operator to run advanced lines, load and verify programs, and ensure parts meet exact tolerances. You will inspect using gauges, assist with changeovers, and monitor material flow on conveyors and robots.

Expect a night shift with a $1.00/hour differential and strong emphasis on safety and quality. The role includes training, growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package with stock awards and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug & background screening required.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs and stand for shifts.
• Comfort with PPE and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining lines to complete multiple ID/OD operations on metal parts.
• Load programs into control units, start, monitor and adjust as needed.
• Verify alignment and measure features using gauges per quality plan.
• Inspect for defects and hold tight tolerances to Amsted Rail standards.
• Assist with changeovers and set-ups on machines, robots and conveyors.
• Monitor conveyors, manage material flow, and stage/move bins with forklift.
• Record production runs in the company system and perform routine maintenance.
