Job summary

Bell Flight in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking a skilled grinder operator to set up and operate a range of grinders for production, experimental, and tool work. You will handle complex grinding tasks, ensure tight tolerances, and select proper tooling and speeds for diverse parts.

The role requires proficiency with CNC mills/lathe and manual grinders, along with the ability to fixture parts securely and maintain accuracy. This position is non-permanent and capped at two years.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of production grinding experience or the equivalent technical education.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.
• Perform difficult grinding work on any grinder and hold required tolerances.
• Grind steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours, and threads.
• Set up truing devices on thread grinding for various thread forms.
• Select speeds, feeds, and grinding wheels appropriate to the job.
• Maintain fixtures, rests or blocks with accurate setup; ensure safety and quality standards.
• Note: position is temporary and not expected to exceed two years.
