Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of production grinding experience including setup.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work.
• Performs difficult grinding work on any type of grinder.
• Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours and threads.
• Sets up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads; selects speeds, feeds, and wheels.
• Holds work to required tolerances with exact fixtures, rests or blocks.
