Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a full-time Grinder to join our manufacturing team. You will clean and finish contours, remove welds, install trim and move components along the line, ensuring parts meet quality standards.

The role requires basic ability to follow directions, operate grinders, and communicate with colleagues. You will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow directions and operate grinders (manual and power tools).
• Strong attention to detail and precision in finishing surfaces.
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Clean and finish contours and cavities to meet specifications.
• Use fillers such as fiberglass and epoxies as needed.
• Remove welds from seals, weld spatters and dress spot welds.
• Install trim as part of the line operation.
• Remove scratches from metal and sand to a finished product; repair minor dents and blemishes.
• Dress and change wheels or discs per instruction and procedures.
• Move frames to the paint line and follow standardized methods of work.
