Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Grinder/Polisher to assist with refurbishing industrial equipment in Grand Rapids, MI. Responsibilities include disassembling equipment, cleaning surfaces, and supporting production processes within a shop setting.

This 1st shift position (7am-4pm) offers overtime rarely and pays $20 per hour, with benefits and weekly pay through Express. Must have at least 1 year of industrial experience and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial or shop environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently and up to 75 lbs. with assistance as needed.
• High level of attention to detail and quality standards.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience operating surface blasting equipment using sand, steel shot or similar media.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good spatial awareness and the ability to safely handle, maneuver, and position large equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrape residue and build-up from industrial equipment.
• Disassemble large-scale machines and components.
• Wash parts and sort reusable components from scrap materials.
• Load and secure products into sandblasting equipment and booths.
• Hand sand and grind surfaces to prepare for painting and refinishing.
• Operate surface blasting equipment using sand and steel media.
• Move large equipment with pallet jacks and dollies throughout the shop.
• Inspect products for quality and workmanship throughout the process.
• Pack and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Collaborate with a team in a production shop environment.
• Mask and protect surfaces prior to painting and finishing operations.

A national finishing company that primarily supports the aerospace industry, where quality and attention to detail are of the utmost importance, is seeking a Grinder/Polisher to assist with refurbishing industrial equipment. This role involves disassembling equipment, cleaning and preparing surfaces for refinishing, and supporting various production processes within a shop environment.

Grinder/Polisher Responsibilities include:

• Scraping residue and build-up from industrial equipment
• Disassembling large-scale industrial machines and components
• Washing parts and sorting reusable components from scrap materials
• Loading and securing products into sandblasting equipment and blast booths
• Hand sanding and grinding surfaces to prepare them for painting and refinishing
• Operating surface blasting equipment using materials such as sand and steel shot/beads
• Using pallet jacks and dollies to safely move large-scale equipment and components throughout the shop
• Inspecting products for quality and workmanship throughout the process
• Packing and preparing finished products for shipment
• Working collaboratively with a team in a production shop environment
• Carefully masking and protecting surfaces prior to painting and finishing operations

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st Shift 7am-4pm M-F with potential for overtime on weekends, but rarely
• $20.00/HR
