Job summary

Gage Bilt is a Michigan-based company seeking a Grinder with hands-on experience to operate grinding machines for production and modification of parts. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, paying $20.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience and skill.

Responsibilities

• Operate various grinding machines for production and modification of existing parts.
• Follow all process documentation and work instructions.
• Use standard measuring equipment to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.
• Work with the Quality Department to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Demonstrate good dexterity and hand-eye coordination when handling small parts.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

As we continue building the next generation of skilled employees, we are looking for a Grinder with hands-on experience who is interested in continuing to develop their skills and grow with our team.

Position Details

• Full-Time
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
• Overtime may be available after training, depending on business needs

Qualifications

We are considering candidates ranging from lower-level grinders with some hands-on experience to more experienced grinders.

Experience Or Knowledge In The Following Areas Is Preferred

• Ability to read blueprints
• Surface grinding
• Cast qualifications
• Dressing grinding wheels, including flat and radius
• Understanding of I.D. and O.D. grinding
• Use of standard measuring equipment, including micrometers and bore gauges
• Understanding of different grades and grits of grinding wheels and their appropriate applications
• Understanding of micro finishes and GD&T tolerancing, including concentricity, radii, squareness, roundness, and run-out
