  • Document production and inventory activities and maintain area cleanliness.

Pay Rate: $21.50 an hour plus a 10$ shift differential!

Job Summary

The Grinder Operator is responsible for operating grinding equipment to process materials safely and efficiently while maintaining product quality standards. This role supports production operations by ensuring proper material handling, quality inspections, inventory accuracy, and housekeeping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate grinding equipment according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Contribute to safe, accident-free operations while complying with all safety, environmental, quality, and company requirements.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections, change propane tanks as needed, and safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Verify correct materials are available for processing.
  • Monitor and document silo levels to ensure adequate materials are available to support production schedules.
  • Process materials according to standard operating procedures.
  • Transport materials to designated storage or scrap areas.
  • Collect material samples and perform quality checks against established specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grinding area.
  • Weigh, track, and document material transfers accurately.
  • Complete required production and inventory documentation.
  • Assist Maintenance and Production leadership with preventive maintenance activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Schedule flexibility to support business needs
Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience
  • Experience operating forklifts and industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with quality inspections and production documentation

No prior experience is required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
