Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Grinder Operator – 2nd Shift for Trystar in Faribault, MN. This is a temp role offering $20.00 per hour, paid weekly, with a 2nd shift Monday–Friday schedule.

You will set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment and grind, deburr, buff, and polish parts to meet specifications in a high‑volume environment. Candidates should have 2 years of manufacturing experience, be able to read instructions and SOPs, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform basic data

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read instructions and follow SOPs.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Basic math and data entry; Epicor experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment.
• Deburr, grind, buff, and polish materials to spec.
• Read and follow SOPs, process instructions, and job orders.
• Perform quality control checks and visually inspect finished parts.
• Use and maintain hand tools to set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Complete production reports and documentation.
• Enter production information in Epicor.

About the Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Grinder workers for Trystar, a power distribution equipment manufacturer in Faribault, MN. In this hands‑on manufacturing role, you’ll help finish prefabricated components to meet quality specifications while working safely in a high‑volume production environment. If you have manufacturing experience and enjoy hands‑on work with tools and equipment, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do as a Grinder Operator – 2nd Shift

• Set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment
• Deburr, grind, buff, and polish materials to required specifications
• Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process instructions, and job orders
• Perform quality control checks and visually inspect finished parts
• Use and maintain hand tools needed to set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment
• Complete production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, and other required documentation
• Enter and maintain production information in Epicor

What You Need to Bring to the Grinder Operator – 2nd Shift

• 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read instructions, safely operate machinery, and visually inspect finished parts
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds intermittently and frequently stand, bend, and reach
• Ability to grind components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Basic computer and data entry skills; Epicor experience is helpful
• Ability to read, write, and understand plant instructions in English and perform basic math
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test and follow all required PPE guidelines
