Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma required; technical education and brake press experience preferred.
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up and calibrate machines, tooling, and dies for accurate production runs.
• Position and align materials to ensure precise bending operations.
• Inspect finished components using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify quality standards.
• Monitor production processes, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and maintain efficient workflow.
• Complete production documentation, tally sheets, scrap reports, and related records in Epicor.
• Follow safety procedures and perform routine tooling maintenance as needed.

What You’ll Do as a Brake Press Operator

• Operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications


• Set up and calibrate machines, tooling, and dies for accurate production runs


• Position and align materials to ensure precise bending operations


• Inspect finished components using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify quality standards


• Monitor production processes, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and maintain efficient workflow


• Complete production documentation, tally sheets, scrap reports, and related records in Epicor

What You Need to Bring to the Brake Press Operator Role

• Minimum of 2 years of machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude


• Previous manufacturing experience with metalworking, bending, or tooling knowledge preferred


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications


• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly


• Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions in English


• Basic math skills for measurements, production reporting, and material tracking


• High school diploma required; technical education and previous brake press experience preferred


• Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screening


• Ability to wear required PPE, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection
