PDS Defense, Inc. in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Grinder I to condition parts using grinders and to finish surfaces before final processing. This associate-W2 position supports a 6-month assignment with three openings.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 6–12 months of related experience or training. Candidates should maintain safe, organized workstations and comply with all safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to 12 months related grinder experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsabilités

• Utilize large swing grinder and/or small hand grinder to condition parts for defect removal.
• Examine surface of work piece for defects.
• Remove defects and/or sharp edges.
• Select abrasive grade and attach to grinder based on specifications and metal condition.
• Operate grinder to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burrs.
• Polish ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth, unmarred surface.
• Replace worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts.
• Maintain a safe and organized workstation and follow all company policy, safety and procedures.
