Job summary

Dalsin Industries Inc in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Grinder for 1st shift to perform precision smoothing, grinding, deburring and polishing of various metals to meet defined finishes. This full-time role requires reading work orders and blueprints.

You will use straight-liner and hand grinders, operate finishing equipment, inspect parts, and ensure quality. Prior manufacturing experience and ability to use basic measuring tools are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, crane or other material handling as required.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Metal Finisher is to safely perform a variety of finishing functions such as precision smoothing, grinding, deburring and polishing a variety of metal types to a range of finishes

• Finishing products by grinding, deburring, filing, sanding, polishing to the quality level required.
• Examine work pieces for defects using proper measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications. Inspect and feel surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents or scratches and repair as applicable
• Able to use straight-liner, hand grinders, finishing equipment, finishing tumbler, etc.
• Utilize blueprints to perform job
• Clean equipment as needed prior to changeovers or at the end of the shift
• Able to work with various materials; carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel
• Understand duties prior to beginning each job by reviewing work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, parameters, and location of surfaces.
• Operate forklift, crane and other material handling operations as required
