Job summary

Orbia Connectivity Solutions Dura-Line in Lubbock, TX is hiring a Grinder to support our growing Day Shift operations as we open a new site. You will perform grinding-related tasks and uphold safety standards.

The role requires basic math, reading comprehension, and physical endurance. We offer a starting pay of $19.50 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math/measurement and reading comprehension required.
• At least 6 months of equipment/machine operation in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate measuring devices and hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand 8–12 hours.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Clean grinding area and dispose waste.
• Empty trash.
• Complete regrind report tags and identify reprocessed materials.
• Perform cable retrieval.
• Break down empty gaylords.
• Process scrap cable-in-duct.
• Coordinate with extrusion to move materials to grinding.
• Participate in cycle counts.
• Report unsafe conditions/broken equipment.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Other production duties.

Key Responsibilities

Our Offer

The compensation for this position is typically start at $19.50/Hour.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation. Site & Schedule

We are excited to be opening our newest site in Lubbock, TX. This role will be an integral part of our operations team supporting one of our Day Shift teams, on either A or C shift. Startup shift may vary as the site comes online likely Mon-Fri 8-hr shifts but will transition to 24/7 operation working 12-hr shifts on a rotating schedule.

This position will work a 2/2/3 schedule from 6:45am-7:00pm after the transition.
