Job summary

Katy Spring & Mfg, Inc. is seeking a dependable Grinder to join our manufacturing team in Katy, Texas. The Grinder will operate spring grinding equipment, monitor the process, and inspect parts to ensure quality and production standards.

Work schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, DOE. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn grinding operations while maintaining a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial machinery or production equipment.
• Read and follow work instructions and blueprints.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Commitment to workplace safety and PPE.
• Ability to operate measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate spring grinding machines safely and efficiently
• Load and unload springs and materials from grinding equipment
• Monitor machines during production and make basic adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality requirements and specifications are met
• Use gauges and basic measuring tools to check part dimensions and quality
• Assist with dressing, changing, and maintaining grinding wheels
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or unusual machine conditions
• Read and follow job travelers, work instructions, and production requirements
• Complete required production and quality documentation
• Maintain equipment and report damaged or malfunctioning tools or machinery
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
• Meet production expectations while maintaining quality standards
• Work with supervisors, Quality Control, and other production employees as needed

Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The Grinder will be responsible for operating spring grinding equipment, monitoring the grinding process, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and production requirements.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small and large components


• Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift
