Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a skilled Grinder to join the aluminum fabrication team in Dawsonville, GA. This role handles grinding, deburring, and finishing aluminum parts, reading work orders and drawings, and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in metal fabrication with experience in aluminum finishing and blueprint reading. The position offers competitive pay, full benefits, and opportunities to collaborate with welders and QC teams in a busy shop

Qualifications

• No degree required; 1–4 years of experience preferred.

• Operate hand grinders, bench grinders, sanders, and finishing tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect parts for defects, sharp edges, and surface inconsistencies
• Read and follow work orders, fabrication drawings, and supervisor instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining high-quality standards
• Work collaboratively with welders, fabricators, and quality control teams
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our aluminum fabrication team. This role is responsible for preparing, smoothing, and finishing aluminum components using grinding tools and related equipment. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment and understands the unique characteristics of aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Grind, deburr, and smooth aluminum parts to meet quality and dimensional specifications
• Operate hand grinders, bench grinders, sanders, and finishing tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect parts for defects, sharp edges, and surface inconsistencies
• Read and follow work orders, fabrication drawings, and supervisor instructions

Skills

• Experience in aluminum fabrication or manufacturing

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
