Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Cook to join our restaurant team at TA locations. You will prepare and present quality food, follow plate presentation guides and maintain safety standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include prep work, grill duties, temperature checks, and keeping work stations clean. The role requires flexible hours, including nights, weekends and some holidays, with opportunities for growth within our hospitality network.

Qualifications

• Food service experience is a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Perform grill cook tasks, set up stations and prepare products per guest requests and plates.
• Complete prep, freezer pull and temperature checklist sheets.
• Practice safe food handling and storage and report unsafe situations.
• Maintain equipment per operating standards.
• Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
• Build communication with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
