Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cook to join our restaurant team at our travel centers. You will prepare and present quality food to guests and help the kitchen stay fast-paced and guest-focused.

Responsibilities include prepping ingredients, setting up grill/fryer stations, following plate presentation guides, completing safety and temperature checklists, and upholding food safety standards. Teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is important.

Responsibilities

• Prep, wash, chop and sort ingredients.
• Set up grill, broiler and fryer stations according to line checks.
• Prepare products to guest specifications and follow plate presentation guides.
• Complete prep, freezer pull and temperature checklist sheets.
• Practice safe food handling and storage and report unsafe situations.
• Prioritize work to meet restaurant and guest needs.
• Build strong communication with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
