Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford is seeking a kitchen team member responsible for preparing foods listed on menus to be grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised or poached. You will ensure quality plating, maintain a clean workstation, and support co-workers to keep the kitchen running efficiently.

The role requires basic food prep knowledge, line experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; culinary apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Background check required; minimum age 18.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods to cook in various methods (grill, fry, broil, bake, boil, braise, poach).
• Ensure plates are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specifications.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workstation; report safety hazards.
• Assist teammates and support special events or parties as needed.
• Close down workstations and ensure proper storage of foods.
