Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford is seeking a skilled kitchen team member to prepare foods across grill, fry, broil, bake, and pantry stations in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure dishes meet customer and chef specifications, maintain a clean workstation, and support colleagues during busy periods and events; willingness to work holidays and weekends is required.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and pursue culinary training; licenses per gaming commission will be obtained.

Qualifications

• Basic food preparation knowledge and line cook experience.
• Must obtain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must pass background check.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Able to work holidays and weekends and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods per menu using grill, fry, broil, bake, boil, braise, or poach.
• Ensure plates are appealing and cooked to customer and chef specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Assist teammates to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
• Support special events/parties as needed.
• Close down workstations and store foods properly.
• Attend meetings and complete follow-ups.
