Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Grill Master to prepare and grill chicken and other proteins to exact standards. You will marinate, cook, and plate items while maintaining quality and food safety throughout service.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or food service preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety and basic cooking terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, marinate, season, cook, stock and rotate chicken and other grilled proteins according to company standards.
• Receive orders, cut cooked chicken, and arrange proteins for proper presentation.
• Monitor holding time for grilled proteins and take corrective actions when hold time expires or product quality fails to meet standards.
• Maintain proper serving temperature for cooked proteins.
• Inspect chicken and other raw proteins for quality prior to marinating or grilling.
• Clean and sanitize the entire work area and equipment.
