Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Grill Master to create a best-in-class guest experience by preparing grilled proteins and following our flame-grilled standards. You will marinate, cook, and present items to meet quality expectations in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers full- or part-time hours, competitive pay, and benefits. Prior customer service or food service experience is preferred; a Food Handler Certification is encouraged to obtain upon hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or food service is preferred.
• Ability to follow company standards for food preparation.
• Willing to obtain Food Handler Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, marinate, season, cook, stock and rotate chicken and other grilled proteins according to company standards.
• Receive orders, cut cooked chicken, and arrange proteins for presentation.
• Monitor holding time and ensure product quality meets standards.
• Maintain proper serving temperatures for cooked proteins.
• Inspect raw proteins for quality prior to marinating or grilling.
• Clean and sanitize work area and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
