Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Grill Master to create a best-in-class guest experience by preparing grilled and other hot food items to precise company standards. You will marinate, cook, stock, and rotate proteins while ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification required promptly upon hire per EPL policy and state regulations.
• Experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.
• Able to perform essential job functions and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, marinate, season, cook, stock and rotate chicken and other grilled proteins.
• Receive orders, cut cooked chicken, and present proteins for plating or packaging.
• Monitor holding time for grilled proteins and take corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain proper serving temperatures for all cooked proteins.
• Inspect chicken and raw proteins for quality prior to marinating or grilling.
• Clean and sanitize the entire work area and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
