Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring a Restaurant Cook to oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department across stations including Food Production, Grill, Fryer and related tasks. You will prepare, cook and portion orders, dress items to order, package menu items, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

Candidates should be able to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, follow directions, and communicate effectively. Prior knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to be flexible based on business needs.
• Effective communication, basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Willingness to maintain appearance and hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of restaurant/retail operations preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food orders to meet quality standards.
• Food preparation and portioning.
• Cook on the grill and operate the fry station.
• Dress items to order and package menu items.
• Clean and sanitize the food area; trash disposal and cleaning.
• Ensure product quality and consistency.
