Job summary

The Intrepid Group in Fairfax, VA seeks a Grill Cook to join IAP World Services under an Intelligence Community contract. The role entails accurately preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of hot and cold items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and catered events.

We require a High School diploma or GED with 0–2 years’ related experience. ServSafe certification is preferred and you will focus on food safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons and cooks meats and vegetables using skill in frying, grilling and sautéing.
• Prepares, seasons and cooks starches, vegetables and other side hot food items.
• Performs food preparation work for cooking, including seasoning.
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe.
• Deep fries, grills and sautés meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
• Portions food on serving plates.
• May select recipes per menu cycle, prepare bakery items, receive inventory, move and lift foodstuffs and supplies and prepare meals for customers requiring special diets.
• May clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
