The Oak Room - Georgetown, a new restaurant and lounge concept from Ten Five Hospitality, is seeking a skilled grill/broiler cook to join our Georgetown team. You will focus on quality cooking, temperature control, and plating per our recipes and standards.

Ideal candidates bring multitasking ability, strong communication, and a team-first attitude. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to support our elevated dining experience.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Prior sauté experience a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust cooking times and temperatures for quality and consistency.
• Cook and plate items according to recipes and standards.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
• Restock station and assist other stations as needed.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation, and a clean workstation.
• Participate in inventory control and supplies management.

We are seeking dynamic, experienced professionals to join our team as we create an elevated dining experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in fine dining service & a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.Position SummaryThe Broiler Cook keeps a close eye on our fire and ensures that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and quality as established by our recipes and standards.Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete tasks assigned in a timely efficient manner.Monitor food quality during cooking and adjust cooking times and temperatures as needed to ensure consistent quality.Communicate all kitchen related needs to Chef or Manager.Cook and plate all food according to recipe specifications.Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.Restock station when necessary.Assist at another station when necessary.Manages the quality of food items and stores food products correctly (FIFO).Must be able to assist with cleaning projects.Always adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation.Assists in control of inventory and supplies.All other duties assigned.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for extended periods.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.Must be able to bend or lift up to 50 lbs.Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.Skills / ExperienceAt least one (3) years’ experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Prior Sauté experience a plus, as this will be a floating position.Exceptional communication skills.Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when required.We are an equal opportunity employer.
