Job summary

Canteen at Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD is hiring full-time and part-time Grill Cook positions. Scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with pay range from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. Prior prep line and cooking experience is preferred, and training is offered. Qualifications

• 1 year of prep line and cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation.
• Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service.
• Ensures food is at the correct temperature and attractive and tasty.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food safely between stations.
• Stores foods with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains work areas and equipment to meet sanitation standards.
• Performs duties safely in a clean, safe work environment.
