BLAZIN CHICKEN JC LLC in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a skilled Grill Man to join our team. You will operate and manage the grill station, cooking chicken and other items to order in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include monitoring grill temperatures, seasoning and marinating proteins, maintaining a clean, sanitary station, and communicating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely, high-quality service in a lively environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as grill cook, line cook, or similar kitchen role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques and food preparation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment.
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Food handler certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage grill station to cook chicken and other menu items to order.
• Monitor grill temperatures and ensure proper cooking times for food safety and quality.
• Season, marinate, and prepare chicken and proteins prior to service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grill station throughout each shift.
• Work efficiently during high-volume rushes to ensure timely food preparation.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
