Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking a Grill Cook to join our high-volume kitchen team. The role requires precise timing, strong teamwork, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards as you prepare steaks, seafood, pastas, and more.

You will work closely with the expeditor and Sous Chef to deliver quality dishes on time, while maintaining station cleanliness and proper inventory. This full-time position offers benefits and opportunities within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic knife skills and understand meat temperatures.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication to interface with guests and team members.
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
• Cooperative, neat, clean appearance and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Grills and Sautés foods such as steaks, seafood, chicken, pork, and pastas; prepares sauces and vegetables.
• Receives and organizes all tickets with team to ensure proper timing of food execution.
• Maintains sanitation and ensures FIFO procedures; communicates with expeditor.
• Cooks items to guest specifications and monitors food temperatures.
• Restocks station and assists in monitoring stock in walk-ins and storerooms.
