Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Grill Cook in Mount Laurel, NJ. You will cook and prepare a variety of dishes using standard recipes and fresh ingredients, while exploring new flavors and techniques in a fast-paced setting.

You will work with production guidelines and safety procedures, maintain cleanliness, and provide friendly service to guests. Prior cooking experience and food safety certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods.
• Garnish and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food per safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain customer service and positive demeanor.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and protect assets.
