Job summary

Southern Foodservice Management is hiring a Grill Cook for our PACCAR location in Columbus, MS. The position runs Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and pays $11.50–$13.50 per hour.

A minimum of 2 years cooking experience is required. Duties include operating the short-order grill station, assisting with food preparation, ensuring proper temperatures and food safety, maintaining logs, and following management directions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Short-Order Grill Station during meal periods.
• Assist in Kitchen with food preparation duties.
• Responsible for correct quantities and quality of menu items as assigned by Management.
• Maintain proper food safety and handling techniques per applicable food code and HACCP standards.
• Maintain food temperature logs and ensure proper cooking/holding temperatures.
• Follow and enforce proper safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct duties in an orderly and professional manner per Southern Foodservice code of conduct.
• Follow Management directions in carrying out duties and procedures.
• Set-up and stock Grill Station for service by prescribed timeline.
• Cook items according to the daily menu and check temperatures.
