Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Bereavement Services Coordinator to coordinate and organize the grief support program at our center. You will act as the primary coordinator for volunteers, medical staff, and others involved with the bereaved, applying extensive knowledge to manage resources and schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses needs, offers counseling, provides guidance and explains the services of the bereavement program to the patient(s) and/or families of the bereaved.
• Organizes and coordinates the services provided by the program, such as arranging counseling, scheduling support groups, providing information on funeral and memorial services, and other bereavement services.
• Collaborates and communicates with the bereavement team members, families, service providers, and community at large.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education
