California Energy Commission is seeking two Infrastructure Transition Specialists within the Energy Systems & Transportation Branch to focus on transitioning energy infrastructure and advancing storage technologies. The roles support decarbonization, reliability, safety, and equity in California's energy system.

Ideal candidates will analyze feasibility, lifecycle impacts, and scalability of emerging technologies, collaborate within a diverse team, and manage multiple projects while producing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emerging energy technologies and strategies including storage, DER, grid modernization.
• Ability to analyze feasibility, lifecycle impacts, and scalability of energy tech.
• Strong research and analytical skills to support planning/decision-making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver timely work products.
• Ability to communicate complex info in consumer-friendly terms.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently toward goals.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and related apps.
