Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey, CA is seeking a friendly Host/Greeter to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and seat guests. You will be the first point of contact, helping create a positive dining experience and smooth restaurant flow.

This role requires excellent communication, a courteous appearance, cash-handling basics, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, restaurant, or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and team members.
• Ability to work any shift, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Summary

Overview:

The Host/Greeter is responsible for warmly welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure a positive and memorable dining experience. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a vital part in creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining an organized flow of service, and ensuring efficient restaurant operations. The Host/Greeter works collaboratively with the restaurant team to provide outstanding hospitality, manage guest expectations, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and guest satisfaction.

• Must be available to work any shift, on any day of the week, based on business needs and seniority. This position has no set schedule, fixed shifts, or guaranteed days off.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform duties requiring frequent movement throughout the restaurant.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to maintain a polished and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
