Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to help craft exceptional events on the Monterey Peninsula. You will assist with setting up and breaking down spaces, arranging furniture, and supporting servers with equipment and supplies.

Excellent communication and organization are essential, with a flexible schedule including weekends. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering guest-focused service in a luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces according to specifications.
• Arrange furniture, set tables, and prepare the room for functions.
• Assist banquet servers by delivering equipment and supplies promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas; ensure safety and sanitation.

Summary:

• Work alongside our banquet team to set up and break down event spaces, ensuring they are ready for flawless functions
• Assist in arranging furniture, setting up tables, and preparing the room according to event specifications
• Support the banquet servers by providing timely and efficient delivery of equipment, supplies, and other items needed for successful events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, ensuring a pleasant and inviting atmosphere
• Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure seamless service and exceed guest expectations
• Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff
