Job summary

The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Semi-Skilled Laborer to join its Greenspace Management team. This role performs a variety of routine ground maintenance tasks and may operate equipment such as riding mowing units, lawn mowers, edger, chainsaw, and rototiller.

Candidate should have at least 6 months of working experience and must hold a valid Texas driver's license. The position is essential personnel under the City's Emergency Management Policy and involves working

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks related to ground maintenance operations.
• May operate and maintain equipment such as riding mowing units, lawn mowers, edger, chainsaw, and rototiller.
• Work as a team member or alone to meet work requirements.
• Assist with park maintenance quality inspections and report hazards.
• Assist with prepping special events and other park activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
