Job summary

Stonetree Golf Club in Killeen, TX is seeking a part-time Greenskeeper I to maintain golf course grounds with hands-on equipment operation. The role involves mowing, irrigation, soil prep, and general landscape tasks to ensure pristine playing conditions for members and guests.

You will work outdoors in variable conditions, with the potential for extended hours during peak seasons. Valid driver’s license and ability to work mornings are preferred for this rewarding outdoor position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Stonetree Golf Club , located in Killeen, TX , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Greenskeeper I ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:
$14.00 per hour

Summary:
Our responsibility is to maintain the golf course grounds. We use a variety of machinery to get it done. It is moderately labor intensive, walking several miles per day, some heavy lifting (50 lbs), general landscaping task but much more detailed. We do walk mowing, bunker raking, ride on mowing, line trim work, and every other small or big job that the golf course demands. Candidates will have flexible schedules with availability to work extended hours during golf and holiday season, as needed. Great opportunity for early shifts. We start early and get off early. Very rewarding outdoor work with some of the best views in the area.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)

• Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls
• Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; to push or pull up to 100 pounds
• Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate
