Job summary

Lake Ashton Golf Club in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a full-time Greenskeeper to support daily course maintenance and operations. You will rake bunkers, edge and mow with small machinery, and prepare soil beds for sod and seed while assisting with course setup and debris clean-up. Reading and speaking English may be required; a valid driver’s license is needed.

The position offers $15.00 per hour with benefits and a focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork within Troon’s global network.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma required; up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds; up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to read and speak English as needed for the job.

Responsibilities

• Rake and maintain sand bunkers.
• Operate small machinery to edge, trim and mow.
• Prepare soil beds for sod, seed and vegetation.
• Assist with course detail tasks (weed and debris cleanup).
• Support golf course setup procedures.
• Operate utility vehicles to haul materials and remove debris.
• Perform pruning, plugging and other skilled tasks as needed.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain regular attendance.

Lake Ashton Golf Club, located in Winter Haven, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$15.00 per hour

• Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
• Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
• Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
• Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
• Assists with golf course set-up procedure.
• Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
• Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
• Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly stands, walks, sits, and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
• Regularly talks or hears.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds; up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and works near moving mechanical part.
• Occasionally works in high, precarious places and in areas with fumes or airborne particles.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally works in extreme heat (non-weather) and experiences vibration. Noise level is loud.

• Valid Driver’s License
